Statement on closing the group to new members
Hi all,
As we've been close to the capacity of our venue for some months, we're going to try closing the group to new members for a while until numbers naturally reduce again.
This is not a permanent arrangement, rather a temporary measure to help manage numbers and maintain the group that we have. We get new people joining the FB group regularly and if many more convert to physically attending then we simply won't have the space, and the last thing we want to do is have to turn new or current members away.
We very much want to continue at the current venue and moving to a larger venue would have a number of logistical issues (such as charging for membership) which we've always managed to avoid until now.
Therefore as of now we are asking any new people not to come to the group for the first time until we indicate we're open to new members again. This also means asking current regulars not to recruit friends, work colleagues etc.

If you're already a regular or occasional (Sundays etc) member known to the group in person you are of course welcome to continue. Our intention is to operate a "waiting list" as new people join the FB page and in the meantime to signpost people to local alternatives. These include:

Goliath Games/Dave's Tabletop Games
If you would like to be added to our waiting list please comment on our announcement at the Facebook page and we will add you to the list. You will then be contacted once numbers reduce.
This wasn’t an easy decision to make so as always we appreciate your support with this to help maintain our excellent group.
